Previously on Futari wa Pretty Cure Dragon…
The two assassins traveled to the tavern, having been sent there by Nestor to get something for their dinner with the Hitlers.
They were met by two young maids and one young butler. Cures Dragon and Fortune wore waitress uniforms over their costumes, and Rica wore a butler costume. One of the assassins said, "I never thought I'd see you working here."
Rica said, "Yeah, after your boss decided to make peace with the Hitlers, my friends and I decided to help the tavern keeper, Elvis Diesel, operate his business just to make some money during this new peacetime. Now what do you want?"
The other assassin said, "Some bread on the side, and some water for the teetotalers who will be there. Also a bunch of fruit."
Rica said, "Very well, sirs. And complementary from Elvis himself, you two get free drinks of your own!"
She then walked over and said, "Bread, water, and fruit! Oh, have you prepared the drinks?"
Elvis said, "Your friend sure knows how to pick her poison."
He glanced over to Mina, who held two empty vials in her hand. Elvis got the food ready and said, "OK, you two, you know the drill."
Cures Dragon and Fortune carried the food and drinks over to the table. Cure Fortune said, "Enjoy!"
The two assassins took one long drink each. Rica asked, "You sure you want us to deliver the order to your boss personally?"
The assassins said, "Yeah…"
Then they collapsed and lost consciousness. Mina said, "Wow, that drink worked easy."
Rica said, "Put it in a basket. I'll have Kelly deliver the order. Meanwhile, Elvis, you help me load their unconscious corpuses into the coffins."
She and Elvis picked up the men, carried them out, and placed them in the coffins. Then they put the lids on and started hammering away.

"La speranza attraverso il tempo - Hope Across Time"
Sarah Hitler couldn't believe the surprise waiting for her.
Rica had slipped in and concealed herself, and now she moved in for the attack. "Don't worry," she said. "I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to know why the Nashes want to make peace all of a sudden."
Sarah broke free from her grip and said, "A wagon full of gold passed by here earlier. Some soldiers were taking it to the border."
Rica said, "Yeah, I saw the whole thing, and I have quite the story to tell you."
"What? What did you say?"
Rica told Nestor, "A couple of soldiers escaped your carnage at the river, and they hid in a pair of caskets. I was able to nail them in, and they're currently resting near a trio of retorts. The Hitlers have the means to pry them out of the caskets, and if they do the soldiers will tell the whole story!"
Nestor walked over to his rifle and grabbed it. "You seem to be well-informed."
Rica said, "It's just as your brother once told me: a man's life in these parts often depends on a mere scrap of information."
"Tell me something, kid: why do you tell us?"
Soon, both parties started racing towards the retorts. There they were, the two caskets right near them.
The Hitlers were the first to arrive; however, they sensed something odd and concealed themselves to prevent the Nashes from seeing them. When the Nashes came, the firefight began. Both caskets were struck by the hail of gunfire coming in from both sides.
"LISTEN, HITLER!" Nestor yelled. "YOU CAN DO WITH THEM AS YOU PLEASE NOW, BECAUSE DEAD MEN CAN'T TALK!"
George fired at Nestor, who said, "It would appear they didn't like my joke. Ah, well. We'll let them go in a little while."
Meanwhile, Rica, having met up with the second generation Cures, snuck into the small house with them. After looking around for a while, they threw the door open. Rica knocked out the woman inside. As the woman lost consciousness, Rica told her, "Don't worry. I'm doing this for your sake."
As they left with the woman in tow, the Nashes came back, having captured Tony Hitler in the confrontation. Nestor said, "With that Hitler boy in our hands, we'll have all kinds of leverage over these punks!"
As Nestor's men led Tony to the cellar, Nestor himself went into the small house and discovered the woman was missing. "AURORA! WHERE ARE YOU, AURORA!?"
Rica brought Aurora into the Hitler house. Sarah asked, "Who is she?"
Rica said, "Just someone who got knocked out and transported here. She'll live. See to it she doesn't leave this room. And don't mention me or my pals bringing her here; we wouldn't want the Nashes to question our loyalties to them, you know."
Sarah said, "Now don't you worry. I may be a woman, but I'm smart with money and know to appreciate every cent of it, and see that it goes into the hands of the hardest workers and the most informed."
Then George came in. "A hostage exchange will take place tomorrow morning. Our son, Tony, in exchange for this woman, Aurora."
Sarah said, "Soon, you'll be rich."
Rica said, "I know it won't break my heart."
Morning came. Rica, the Cures, and Elvis watched the exchange. Both sides watched Aurora share an embrace with her son before being led to the Nashes.
Rica asked, "What's Nestor got to do with this whole affair?"
Elvis said, "I don't think you know, but… there once was a happy little family. But then trouble came along. Trouble called Nestor Nash. The racist bastard claimed the husband cheated at cards, which obviously wasn't true, and then he abducted the wife as collateral."
"And the husband?"
"He can't do jack squat about it, because the Nashes threatened to kill his son if he told the truth or tried to take her back. And he was real serious about it, too; he used such abusive language as 'Injun', 'redskin', 'squaw', and 'prairie n*****'."
Then Rica and the Cures left. Elvis asked, "Where are you seven going?"
Rica said, "To the Nashes to look for a job."
Back at the Nash headquarters, Rica watched Nestor shoot up the suit of armor. "Good shot, Nestor!"
Nestor said, "To kill a man, aim for the heart. My preference of gun is the Winchester rifle."
Rica said, "That's all well and good, but we'll stick with what we've got, thank you?"
"Is it a .45? Because they say south of the border that when a man with a .45 meets a man with a rifle, the man with a pistol will be a dead man."
"And you seriously believe that?"
Nestor told his guards, "Bring Aurora to the small house. Stay there until I return. Don't worry; I'll be back before the sun sets on the second day. Now that our wagons are ready, we'll leave. Enjoy yourselves, all of you, in my absence!"
As Nestor left, Rica said, "Boys, you heard Nestor. Let's all have a good time!"
That night, the men were as drunk as skunks, and Rica and the Cures were cleverly hidden. Rica took the ashes of the assassins and sprinkled some of them on the nose of one guard, who sneezed easily. The man sneezed, and gunfire erupted, with each man looking rather dangerously for the punk who had dared caused the man to sneeze.
Over in another part of the headquarters, another man heard the gunfire and said, "There's someone shooting up at the small house! Saddle the horses immediately! Now! Let's go!"
The men were met by a cloud of human ashes; the leader was blinded and shot everyone from his lieutenant to himself. Rica said, "Never let a blind man lead you."
She then grabbed Aurora by the arm and led her outside to her husband and son. She then gave them a few hundred dollars. "It's enough to live on for a while. Now get going! Now, before Nestor Nash comes back! Never come near San Miguel again, OK? There's too much trouble here, and if Nestor saw you he'd probably kill all of you! Now beat it! For your sake!"
Aurora asked, "Why do you do this for us?"
Rica said, "I knew a woman like you once. There was no one there to help her."
The family departed. Rica and the Cures fled in a different direction.
On the road, Nestor came across a strange man with a goatee. The man stood in front of the wagon and pushed the horses so hard it sent the wagon backwards. Only Nestor survived, but not for long. He yelled, "BASTARD! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, CHING CHONG? I'LL DESTROY YOU FOR THIS!"
The man, Oda, said, "That will be impossible. Relinquish your weapon."
"OVER MY DEAD BODY!"
"That can be arranged."
Nestor never saw it coming.
Nor did Rica see Nestor (or, at least, someone who looked like him) coming.
He came to her, accompanied by two men, and said, "It's a warm evening. One of our wagons lost a wheel, so we had to come back to get help. I've been told that the Hitlers attacked the small house. You know about it, by any chance?"
Then one of the men, a real brute, started beating her up. The Nestor look-alike said, "Tell me, kid, just what you know about the attack! Where did you hide Aurora!?"
Seeing Oda's face, Rica spat at him and snarled, "Fuck you…"
The beatdown continued, and for a split second Rica forgot that they thought she was a scrawny young boy, because she didn't react to the brute kicking her in the, um, southern region and failed to groan in pain quickly. "Nestor" laughed and said, "You're one resilient son of a bitch!"
The other henchman decided to tantalize Rica. "You are thirsty, no? You want a drink?"
Splashing it rapidly in her face and then yanking it back almost as quickly, he continued, "No, no, it's too soon to drink."
"Nestor" said, "You bastard! You're behaving like a stubborn little shit! Tell us where Aurora is, and we're through here! Within the week, you'll be back in shape. You can go wherever you want."
The beatdown continued. Finally, "Nestor" held up his hand and yelled, "THAT'S ENOUGH!"
The brute stopped. "Nestor" continued, "He'll talk sooner or later. It'll only be a matter time. See that he doesn't try to escape, and watch that he doesn't die. And wait until he comes to! This way, he'll hardly feel a thing."
Some time later, Rica came to. She got up and saw the brute coming. As he approached her, she pushed a barrel of gunpowder towards him, crushing him to death.
Breaking the barrel, she then took out some gunpowder and threw it in the other man's face, blinding him. Afterwards, she ran out of the building and back to the tavern.
Once there, she went to Elvis and, overhearing "Nestor"'s orders to search every building suspected to be hiding her, said, "We've got trouble. Nestor's on to us. He's searching every last building for me and my pals, and the worst part? I don't think that was Nestor!"
The cooper, who was working nearby, said, "I know. Some guy who looked like him brought him to me. He's dead."
Elvis said, "I'll have one of your friends pay close attention in hiding as the Nashes come rolling through. I don't want the cooper to become his own customer."
Rica said, "You just gave me a great idear, Elvis!"
Rica was lying in a fresh casket inside the cooper's wagon. The cooper came up to her and asked, "What are you doing in there?"
"Never mind that, cooper. Get me out of here."
"But you're not dead yet."
"But I will be if you don't get me out of here. Now get that lid down."
The cooper put the lid on the casket, but there were no nails.
Meanwhile, Elvis was brought to "Nestor". His captor said, "He says he knows nothing. He's trying to be smart."
Elvis yelled, "I'm telling the truth!"
"Really? You know nothing? Now where have you hidden him?"
"I didn't hide him, Nestor."
"You're the right friend for that chink; you'll end up the same way he'll end up when we're through with him."
Another of "Nestor"'s men came down from the balcony and said, "No sign of the chinks in the cellar, attic, or roof. No trace of them anywhere; I couldn't even find them in the back room."
"Nestor" asked, "Then where is he?"
"I'm certain he and the other chinks are hiding with the Hitlers; they seem smart enough to know it's the best place to hide."
"The Hitlers, eh? Then go and get him!"
Punching Elvis in the face, he continued, "And that's for being his friend!"
Meanwhile, Rica watched as the Nashes burned down the Hitler house and popped off everyone that emerged. She watched as George Hitler, his wife Sarah, and his son Tony tried to surrender before "Nestor" killed them one by one.
Rica said, "The real Nestor Nash was ruthless enough… this one is far worse. By the time he's done here, there'll be nobody left inside the town, and Nobunaga Oda will have destroyed every last trace of this one-horse town, to the point where it would be as if this town never existed. And I doubt he'll stop there."
Rica put the lid down as Nobunaga Oda killed Don Bernardo, Arturo, and the man who had tipped him off in a fit of rage from having been lied to. The cooper said as he departed, "Now I know that's not the real Nestor Nash. We'll stop at the mine. You get some rest there, and I'll get you something that'll be of use to you."
The next morning, Nobunaga Oda was torturing Elvis and beating him senseless, having strung him up by his hands on a nearby post, when an explosion happened at high noon.
Yes, there was Rica, emerging from the smoke and accompanied by all the first-generation and second-generation Cures. She said, "I heard you wanted to see me, Nestor. Or would you prefer to be called Nobunaga Oda?"
Oda said, "Yes, your archnemesis Nestor Nash is dead. And yes, I killed him!"
Rica said, "I wanted to kill him myself, at high noon, once the Hitlers were taken care of. But since we were in the middle of a fight, and we had to stop to look for you in this epoch after you threw us back in time, I'll settle for defeating you instead."
Oda fired his Winchester at all seven; however they were still standing. "What's wrong? You losing your touch? Are you afraid of walking corpses?"
He fired a second round at them. Rica continued, "To kill someone, aim for the heart. Don't forget the heart! Aim for the heart, or you'll never stop us!"
A third round was fired. Still they were standing. Cure Fang said, "I doubt you've ever read the Bible, but I think you'll know what I'm talking about when I recite Ezekiel 25:17.
"The path of the righteous man and defender is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the father of lost children.
"And I will execute great vengeance upon thee with furious anger, you who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and sisters; and you will know that I am Chiba the Bodyguard when I lay my vengeance upon thee!
"PRETTY CURE! LIGHT OF JUSTICE!"
The light was twice as brilliant and twice as blinding. "GOLD THUNDER!"
"SILVER THUNDER! We who are different as day and night…"
"Do join together and combine our might!"
"PRETTY CURE METAL PUNCH!"
The combined power of two generations of Pretty Cure knocked Oda down for the count. He tried to get back up, but there was a flash of light and a blade coming down through his neck. The Cures recognized the owner of the steel as Nicola Terry, who said, "This is for my ancestors."
Suddenly, Rica saw some people walk into town. The cooper said, "Hey… it looks like people are coming here again, for the first time in years."
The sheriff said, "It looks like we may have some hope after all."
Rica said, "Yeah, it would seem that if hope can be restored to a ghost town that had become a virtual disaster area on account of two bosses, each as corrupt as the other, then I believe there will always be hope for humanity, and for the future. Our future. The future where we come from. And speaking of future…"
Rica indicated the open portal behind her and continued, "I think it's time for those who live in the next century to return to that century. So long, Sheriff. May you continue to maintain order in this one-horse town for generations to come, so that more horses may come in, and this town may in the process return to its former glory, never to live in fear again."
Rica entered the portal with the Cures and Nicola following her as Elvis, Sheriff Ugarte, and the cooper watched. The sheriff said, "I think I may have quite the story to tell my kids."
Ryan, Susan, Rica, and Kelly emerged from the gymnasium, accompanied by Mina, Principal Mazda, Helen, and Nicola. Eileen said, "Look! There they are!"
Rica said, "Well, we made it back, limey."
Lisa, who was also keeping the vigil along with the rest of the Ichiban girls and the Fujiyama boys, said, "Glad to see you could make it out of there."
Susan said, "I'm just glad we made it out, too."
Kelly said, "Let's just enjoy the rest of this Valentine's Day, and look forward to our futures after this is over."
Principal Mazda said, "Let's pick up where we left off, shall we?"
Everyone nodded and got back to their stations, back to where they were when the incident happened.
Back to another normal Valentine's Day celebration.
Back to where it all began.
